Leen Malkawi is the founder and director of “Wassel for Awareness and Education”. Leen worked in the United States in the private sector in insurance and financial services in several Fortune 500 companies. She later transitioned to work in the field of development and entrepreneurship and worked as a writer for several newspapers, focusing her writings on political, economic, and social issues in Jordan.
She won the Jacqueline Foss Service Award from the University of Texas at Arlington in the United States. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jordan Economic Forum, and she is a member of the Board of Directors of the United Nations Global Compact – Jordan Office, and the Secretary-General of Global Shapers; an initiative of the World Economic Forum. She completed an executive education program at Harvard University titled “Leadership, Organizing, and Action – Leading Change.”
